1. THE CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF ST. JOHN THE DEVINE
This 5th largest church in the world, is a famous landmark of NYC. It is famous for its Gothic architecture, worth admiring. Unlike other churches, this church has an entry charge and also provide a tour guide for visiting the location. Although some parts of the church are still under construction, yet the grandness of the church and the garden outside is very interesting. It is a little far away from midtown and downtown, hence, reaching here requires that much of extra time.

2. ST. PATRICK’S CATHEDRAL
I am sure, everyone who visits New York, must have crossed this Church, at least once for sure. Situated at 5thAvenue, close to the Rockefeller Centre, amidst the luxurious buildings of Midtown lies this beautiful Cathedral Church. Its Neo-Gothic style of architecture and the replica of Michaelangelo’s Pieta is definitely worth a visit. This church can be easily covered, as it is on a very famous tourist location.

3. TRINITY CHURCH
Located in the Financial District of lower Manhattan, is this beautiful Church with a big historical story. The current Church is the 3rd Trinity Church as it has been destroyed twice earlier. The first Trinity Church, constructed in 1698 got destroyed in the Great New York City Fire in 1776. The second one destroyed due to severe snow fall around 1838. This Gothic Church also holds a burial site of Alexander Hamilton (one of the founders of United States) and his eldest son.

4. ST. PAUL’S CHAPEL
This is the oldest surviving church of New York since 1766, situated in lower Manhattan. It was constructed initially as an extended Chapel of the nearby-situated Trinity Church. This small Chapel survived the Great New York City Fire and acted as a shelter home for refuge during the 9/11 attack of 2001. This historic Church is definitely worth a short visit. It can be easily covered along with a visit to the 9/11 Memorial, as it is just a 5 mins walk from there.

5. GRACE CHURCH
In 1846, James Renwick Jr. designed this church, when he was only 23 years old. He later designed St Patrick’s Church in 1978. This Church may not be as big as St Patrick’s or St John the Divine, but its interior surpasses them specially its stained glass windows. This Church is very close to Union Square. 6. ST. JEAN BAPTISTE CHURCH

The interior of the church is really very artistic. One can always plan for a quick visit to this Church, when they are at the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

7. ST. IGNATIUS LOYOLA CHURCH

8. ST. PETER’S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH
