This is because no cars are allowed inside Mall Road and without cars it is extremely tough to carry luggage till hotel. Although there are people available who can carry the luggage till hotel for a small charge but still it’s a hassle.

BEST TIME TO VISIT MUSSOORIE
Mussoorie can be visited throughout the year except for rainy season of July and August. The best time to visit is in the months of October and November. You shall see the most scenic beauties of the hills and the surroundings during these months.
MUST VISITS IN MUSSOORIE
Mussoorie is extremely scenic. Out of all the places some of them are definitely a must visit. A trek to George Everest peak and witnessing the vast surrounding from the peak point is absolutely a serene experience.
Another must visit place to witness the landscape beauty of Mussoorie is Dalai Hills and Lal Tibba.

Ropeway to famous Gun Hill is situated in this Mall road and can be visited if time permits (as during peak season there can be a long waiting queue). If Dalai Hills, Lal Tibba and George Everest Peak are covered then the view from Gun Hill won’t be that fascinating.
Lastly Camel Back Road and Landour can be given a quick visit if time permits.
Company’s Garden, Kempty Fall and Mussoorie Lake can be avoided. These are least fascinating compared to places recommended above.

- Mussoorie has some of the amazing café’s in the Mall Road and Landour that are totally worth trying.
- If you happen to be a Ruskin Bond fan, then the great news is that he stays in Landour only. There is a book store by the name Cambridge Book Depot where sometimes he visits to meet his fans.
- Mall Road is usually very crowded. Gun Hill and Kempty falls are overhyped places – totally can be avoided.
- On the way from Dehradun Airport to Mussoorie, if time permits then try to covers Robber’s Cave. It’s an interesting cave totally worth visiting.
- If you are an adventure junkie and like going for trek trips then the famous trek to Naag Tibba originates from Mussoorie. This can be planned along.
- Haridwar, Rishishek, Chakrata etc are some of the common places people cover along with the trip to Mussoorie & Dehradun.
